I recently sneaked some cheap code into the CCTray source to vocalise status and send status over the parallel port. Both of them are independent of each other. I'll describe them separately.
The Voice Mod
The Voice mod is the easier of the two to set up. You need the following:

The BuildBoard Mod
The BuildBoard is a simple prototype board which can be used to demostrate CI in an engaging manner without any setup time. It is a little more involved since you need to design the hardware too; and that, unfortunately, you cannot download :-D Anyway, I'll describe most of the stuff to get you started.
